Good local spot if you want to get something quick. Food was very good and a great size portion. We ordered two small jerk chicken and it was more than enough. The texture and taste of the chicken was good just wished the skin wasn’t so soggy. Overall it was a great experience and well back for more! Thank you.
I ordered rice and peas no meat. When i was starting eating i saw something look like meat. When i ordered my lady confirmed with me no meat. Why she didn’t mention to me that the beans have meat. Some customers are vegan they don’t eat meat.
The food here is delicious and season to the Bone. I love the ackee and saltfish and callaloo breakfast. Anything I have ever gotten from this restaurant tastes so delicious definitely give them a try and they have another location on 145th Street also and the food is amazing there too! Prices are reasonable the services good and the food is incredible!
It’s a hole-in-the wall type walk-in spot with some pretty darn good jerk chicken on the cheap. Rice is nothing I’d majorly brag about but certainly not bad either—all-in-all, if you have a hankering for some basic staple Jamaican or Caribbean-style food and you don’t need to dine in but just carry out, I’d give them a try. They’re open fairly late and the service is quick. It’s tasty and easy on the wallet too.
Great Jerk Chicken with rice, very affordable too. It just fell off the bone, very soft and tasty. There are morning or night always people lining up, more locals, Police- and Subway personnel than tourists, should be a good sign.
Ordered a snapper dinner through Grubhub and they called to say they were out of the fish. I asked for the stew peas and they stated that would take 20 minutes as it wasn't done yet. I then asked for the oxtail and they said that I could get that as a replacement because it caused more money. I had to end up with the curry shrimp because I did not want to cancel as I had additional order of shrimp rasta pasta and chicken soup(had no chicken meat, only vegetable and chicken bone.),Ordered the Snapper again along with Stew Peas today about 3:20 pm...recieved notice that my order was on the way (Uber Eats). Noticed that the person was not coming in my direction and kept changing the time that they would arrive. Finally after about 30 minutes of this, my order was canceled. I reordered and waited. I then received notification once again that my order was being picked up. After about 15 mins I received a phone call from the carrier who had me on pause while he carried on a great conversation with the restaurant worker, completely ignoring me. He finally put the restaurant worker on the phone and she said very dismissively "you have to cancel the order because we don't have any Snapper or stewpeas." I enjoy their food, but it seems when you order through a courier service they never have any food. I will not be ordering anytime soon from this restaurant.
Everyone HAS TO come eat here. I've never had Jamaican food and we were super hungry one night and decided to stop in. We got curry lamb with rice and cabbage and it was literally one of the best things I've ever had. It was so good that we came back the next night and tried their jerk chicken. Another winner! The service is quick and nice and their prices are beyond reasonable for the portion that you get. I want to come here every single day. Don't even think about it, just go!!!
Ordered via Seamless; couldn’t find a way to leave a review on the Seamless app. The Mac and cheese was completely tasteless. All the cheese was on top and the cheese still didn’t have any flavor. The curry chicken had no curry. Some parts seemed undercooked. I will not be ordering from here again; it was a waste of money.
